You don’t have to go to the Bahamas to get a taste of the conch life. Chef Owner Trudy Ellis has been serving up fried conch, rice and peas, and boil fish and grits since 1988 at this family style Bahamian restaurant. The restaurant has become a neighborhood favorite and made its way to the national media spotlight being featured in the Miami episode of The Layover with Anthony Bourdain.
New menu items have recently been added to include fried chicken and waffles and okra steamed with tomatoes and onions, among others.
